World No. 7 PV Sindhu stormed into the quarter-final of All England Open Championships 2021 with a dominant straight-game win over lower-ranked Denmark shuttler Line Christophersen. Sindhu needed just 25 minutes to outclass the World No. 45 21-8, 21-8 in their 2nd-round match in Birmingham on Thursday.
PV Sindhu, who reached the final at the Swiss Open earlier this month, has not dropped a game yet at the prestigious
Super 1000 tournament as she had eased past Soniia Cheah in the first round.
This is the second successive quarter-final appearance for the Indian shuttler at the All England Championships. Sindhu will face her first big test of the tournament against World No. 5 and 3rd seed Akane Yamaguchi in the quarter-final. Sindhu has a positive head-to-head (10-7) against Yamaguchi but the Japanese star has won their last 3 meetings.
