battle as she recovered from a game down. Sindhu needed an hour and 11 minutes to beat Gregoria 18-21, 21-15, 21-13 and book her place in the quarter-finals of the prestigious tournament.

Sindhu snapped a 2-match losing streak to the higher-ranked shutter and extended her head-to-head record to 9-2.
