In Badminton, ace Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth will lead the Indian campaign at the Japan Open BWF World Tour Super, starting in Tokyo today.

Among other Indians, B Sai Praneeth will face Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto today. Sindhu opens her campaign against China’s Han Yue tomorrow in women's singles.

In men’s singles, it will be an all-Indian opening round battle between HS Prannoy and eighth seed Kidambi Srikanth tomorrow.

Sameer Verma will look to test his fitness against Denmark’s Anders Antonsen tomorrow.

The mixed doubles pair of Ashwini Ponappa and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will contest today against the unseeded German duo of Marvin Seidel and Linda Efler. 

While the men's doubles partners Manu Attri and Sumeeth B Reddy will take on Goh Seh Fei and Nur Izzudin of Malaysia today.

It will be great preparation for the Olympics as the tournament will take place at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, a venue where badminton games will take place during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
