PV Sindhu enter into pre quarters of Indonesia Open

Bali: In Indonesia Open in Bali, Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and B Sai Praneeth sailed into the pre quarters yesterday.

 

In women's singles, Sindhu defeated Japan’s Aya Ohori 17-21, 21-17, 21-17 in the first round. She will now take on world No 26 Yvonne Li of Germany in the second round.

 

In Men's singles, Sai Praneeth defeated Toma Junior Popov of France



21-19, 21-18 and Kidambi overcame compatriot HS Prannoy 21-15, 19-21, 21-12.

In women's doubles, the duo of Ashwini Ponappa and N. Sikki Reddy also entered the second round defeating Bulgarian Sisters pair Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva. However, in the mixed doubles pair of Dhruv Kapila N. Sikki Reddy lost to Japanese pair of Kyohei Yamashita and Naru Shinoya.
