PV Sindhu and B Sai Praneeth will play their semi-final matches in the BWF World Championships at Basel, Switzerland.  

P.V. Sindhu will take on the reigning All England Open Champion, Chinese 4th seeded   Chen Yufei whereas B. Sai Praneeth will face world No.1 Kento Momota of Japan  in the Semifinals today. 

Earlier, Sindhu defeated world No. 2 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei 12-21, 23-21, 21-19 in



quarter-finals yesterday.

B. Sai Praneeth defeated Worlds No 4 Jonatan of Indonesia in the quarterfinals. He scored 24-22, 21-14 win over Asian Games gold medalist. He became only the second Indian men’s player after the legendary Prakash Padukone to win the Worlds Championship medal in 36 year. 

Saina, Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy bowed out of World Championships from the pre-quarterfinals stage.
