In Wimbledon Tennis, Novak Djokovic won a testing battle against Flavio Cobolli to reach a record 14th Wimbledon semifinal in the men’s singles. The Serb defeated Italian Flavio Cobolli 3-1 at the All England Club yesterday. Djokovic will next face world No.1 Jannik Sinner of Italy in the semifinal clash.  Sinner defeated the 10th seed Ben Shelton of the USA 3-nil in the quarterfinal. 

Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz, who has beaten Djokovic in the past two finals at Wimbledon, takes on US fifth seed Taylor Fritz in the other semifinal tomorrow. Defending champion Carlos



Alcaraz defeated Britain’s Cameron Norrie to reach the semifinals.

In Women’s Singles, world No.1 Iga Swiatek reached her first Wimbledon semifinal by defeating 19th seed Liudmila Samsonova 6-2, 7-5. She will face Belinda Bencic of Switzerland, who edged out 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva in two tight tiebreaks 7-6, 7-6 to reach her second Grand Slam semifinal. Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka secured her place in the semifinals with a hard-fought win over Germany’s Laura Siegemund. She will face Amanda Anisimova in the next round.
