Neeraj Chopra finished in second place at the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial 2025. The star Javelin thrower was struggling throughout the event, registering several foul throws. However, his sixth round attempt pf 84.14 metres proved to be his biggest of the night. Despite crossing the 84 metre mark, Chopra failed to occupy the first place after six rounds. Julian Weber took the first place with a throw of 86.12 metres.

Throughout the event, Neeraj was been unable to find his groove, after the first foul throw, the star Indian athlete followed it up with a second throw of 81.28 metres. The 27-year-old was not happy after his attempt. Furthermore, things did not improve for Chopra as he was fouled on his third and the fourth throw as well. 

Julian Webers and Anderson Peters were quick to climb ahead of Chopra with throws of 86.12 metres by Weber and 83.24 metres by Peters, whereas Chopra sat in third place with a throw of



81.8 metres after round 5 of the event. The trio of Webers, Peters, and Chopra were evidently struggling throughout the event, and after round 6, Chopra was quick to jump the ranks. The round 6 throw for the 27-year-old was 84.14 metres, which was his best for the night. 

With round 6 being the final one of the night, Anderson Peters occupied third place in the standings with a highest throw of 83.24 metres. Chopra was in second place with a throw of 84.14 metres, and Julian Weber finished in first place with a throw of 86.12 metres. The top three javelin throwers, all who have the capability to cross the 90 metre mark did not look happy with their performance. Neeraj especially was seen struggling, fouling three times in the six rounds that he attempted.
