World number two Naomi Osaka's 23-match winning run came to an abrupt end as she lost 6-0 6-4 to Maria Sakkari in the Miami Open quarter-finals. Japan's Osaka was stunned by the Greek 23rd seed's aggressive start, making 12 unforced errors and not landing one winner in a 21-minute opening set. The world number 25 will play either Canadian eighth seed Bianca Andreescu or unseeded Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo in the last four.

Defending champion Ashleigh Barty moved into the semi-finals with a battling win over Belarusian seventh seed Aryna Sabalenka. The Australian world number one won 11 of the final 12 points, as Sabalenka

struggled with an abdominal injury, to seal a 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 victory. She will face Ukrainian fifth seed Elina Svitolina or Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova.

Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury have entered the Men's Doubles final of the Miami Open. They beat Sebastian Korda and Michael Mmoh 7-5, 6-2. Now, the American-British pair will play against Mektic and Pavic in the Men's Double final.
