Naomi Osaka rebounded from a poor start to beat Serena Williams - her idol - in straight sets to book her place in the Australian Open final. World No. 3 Osaka beat the 23-time Grand Slam singles winner 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 15 minutes. The other semi-final, 22nd seed Jennifer Brady of the United States and Karolina Muchova of Czech Republic, is underway. Both the players are aiming to reach a Grand Slam final for the first time.

Twenty Fifth seed Muchova, produced a shock when she knocked out World Number one and home favourite Ashleigh Barty while



Jennifer defeated fellow American Jessica Pegula in the last round. Later today, in the Men's Singles Semifinals, eight-time winner Novak Djokovic will take on World No. 114 Aslan Karatsev today.

The 27-year-old Russian qualifier Karatsev defeated 18th-seeded Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria in the quarterfinals. He became the first man in the professional era to reach the semifinals of his first major tennis tournament. On the other hand, Djokovic crushed Germany's Alexander Zverev  to reach his 39th Grand Slam semi-final.
