Nadal, Federer enter in Pre-Quarterfinal of Italian Open tournament

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have entered in the Pe-Quarterfinal of Italian Open Tennis tournament being held in Rome. 

Second-seeded Spaniard Nadal defeated Jeremy Chardy of France in straight sets 6-0,6-1. Swiss Federer defeated Joao Sousa of Portugal 6-4 6-3 to reach in the third round. 

Federer plays Borna Coric next, while Nadal faces Nikoloz Basilashvili later tonight. Sixth-seeded Japanese Kei Nishikori secured a place in last sixteen defeating Tailer Fritz of United States 6-2, 6-4. Spain's Fernando Verdasco defeated Dominic Thiem 6-4, 4-6, 5-6.

In Women's section,



Britain's Johanna Konta has entered in the 3rd round. She defeated world's eight number sloen Stefence of US 6-7, 6-4, 6-1. 

In the next round, Konta will take on venus Williams of US. World number Naomi Osaka also entered in the 3rd round defeating Dominika Cibulková 6-3, 6-3. 

She will face Romania's Mihaela Buzarnescu. In another match, world's fourth number Kiki Burtence of Denmark defeated Amanda Anisimova of US 6-2, 4-6, 7-5. Wimbledon champion of 2017 Garbine Muguruza entered in the 3rd round defeating Danielle Rose Collins 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
