Mehrunissa wins silver for India 'WorldSkills Shanghai 2026'

Mehrunissa Begum, a young talent from the city, won a silver medal for India in the Logistics and Freight Forwarding category at the 48th WorldSkills Competition Shanghai 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious international skills competitions.

WorldSkills, one of the world’s largest platforms for vocational and professional skills, is often described as the global championship for skilled professions.

Competing against some of the world’s best talent, Mehrunissa Begum demonstrated



excellence in logistics and freight forwarding, excelling in documentation, routing, commercial decision-making, and customer handling.

She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Logistics from Begumpet Degree College, Hyderabad, and is currently employed with Cargomen Logistics India Pvt. Ltd.

At Cargomen, she manages the Thermo Fisher Scientific account, gaining hands-on experience in international logistics operations, customer coordination, documentation, and freight management.
