Legendary Indian hockey player Varinder Singh, an Olympic and world championships medalist, passed away in Jalandhar on Tuesday, June 27. The hockey great was 75.

Varinder Singh was part of the bronze medal-winning Indian men's



hockey team at the 1972 Munich Olympics. he was an integral member of India's dominant hockey team in the 1970s.

Hockey India condoled Varinder Singh's passing away and said the legendary player's achievements will be remembered worldwide.
