Indian men's junior team have qualified for the final of the ongoing Sultan of Johor Cup hockey tournament.

At the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium in the Johor Bahru district of Malaysia yesterday, they defeated defending champions Australia 5-4 in a pulsating match to qualify for the summit clash for the fifth time in the event.

The Indians now top the table with 12 points after four matches and still have a game in hand to prepare for the finals.  They will play Great Britain in their last match on Friday.

The Indians were champions in 2013 and 2014 and are now on target to win a third title in the competition.
