It was all smiles in the Indian camp after the Rohit Sharma-led team thrashed Sri Lanka by five wickets to sweep the three-match Twenty20 international series at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

The Indian team celebrated Christmas eve wearing the the Santa Claus hats after India finished 2017 with their 37th victory in international cricket -- second most in a calendar year behind Australia's 38



international wins in 2003.

Chasing 136 for a series whitewash, India held their nerves to reach the target in 19.2 overs with five wickets in hand when MS Dhoni hit Thisara Perera for a winning runs.

The hosts overcame the loss of early wickets to overhaul the target with four balls to spare. Pacers Dushmantha Chameera and Dasun Shanaka bagged two wickets each for Sri Lanka.
