In Squash, India made a strong start at the 2025 World Squash Championships Asia Qualifier at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today, with Anahat Singh, Veer Chotrani and Tanvi Khanna advancing to the quarterfinals.

Anahat and Veer recorded commanding straight-game wins in their opening-round matches, while Tanvi pulled off a major upset by defeating top-seeded N. Ching Cheng of Hong Kong.

singles player, eased past the Philippines’ Jemyca Aribado 3-0 in just 20 minutes, as she aims to qualify for the World Championships for the first time. Veer defeated Malaysia’s Ong Sai Hung 3-0 in a tightly contested match.

Tanvi, ranked No. 134 in the world, stunned Cheng 3-1 to book her place in the quarterfinals. She will face Helen Tang of Hong Kong in the last eight on Friday.
