The Indian junior men's hockey team thrashed Australia 5-1 in the league match of the 9th Sultan of Johor Cup at Johor Bahru in Malaysia, yesterday.

With this win, they qualified for the final of the tournament. 

India's clinical performance saw two goals from Shilanand Lakra and one each from Dilpreet Singh, Gursahibjit Singh and Mandeep Mor. Yesterday, India had lost to Japan 3-4.

India will face Great Britain in their final round-robin league-stage match on Friday.
