Huelva: India's HS Prannoy and men’s doubles pair MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila advanced to the second round after registering brilliant victories at the BWF World Championships in Huelva, Spain.

World number 32 Prannoy stunned World number 9 Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong in the men’s singles first round 13-21, 21-18, 21-19. Prannoy will take on world Daren Liew of Malaysia



tomorrow.

The duo of Arjun and Kapila defeated Danish pair of Daniel Lungaard and Mathias Thyrri 21-18, 21-17 in the first round. They will now take on Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov of Russia.  

PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen will play their second-round singles matches today.
