India avenged their Asia Cup final defeat against Bangladesh as they defeated them by 18 runs to register their 2nd straight win in Group A of the ongoing tournament. Poonam Yadav picked 3 wickets while Shikha Pandey closed things off for India to ensure an easy win for India.

India has won the match by 18 runs as Shikha Pandey bowls a very tight final over giving just 3 runs in it. The credit goes to the entire bowling unit, they showed it why cricket is a team sport. If the last win showed that India were one of the favourites, this one proved it is rightly so. India next face New Zealand on February 27.

Shafali Verma again got India off to an explosive start, scoring 39 off just 17 deliveries, while Poonam Yadav added three more wickets to her tally. Safe to say that India have all bases covered at the moment.
