The Indian men’s hockey team lost 3-2 to Australia in its FIH Pro League 2024-25 match at the Sportcentrum Wilrijkse Plein in Antwerp, Belgium, yesterday. This was the sixth successive loss for India in the European leg of the FIH Pro League. With 15 points from 14 matches, Craig Fulton’s side now sits seventh in the standings. Tim Brand, Blake Govers and Cooper Burns scored the goals for Australia while Sanjay and Dilpreet Singh netted for India. India will face Belgium in their final two matches of the FIH Pro League 2024-25 next Saturday



and Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Indian women’s hockey team was dealt a narrow 2-1 loss against Australia in its FIH Pro League 2024-25 match at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London, England.

Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke scored the only goal for India while Amy Lawton and Lexie Pickering were the goalscorers for Australia. The Indian women’s hockey team will play Argentina in its next FIH Pro League match on Tuesday at the same venue.
