Dual joy for Bhargava ,Ashrita

Hyderabad: K Bhargava Rami Reddy of BBBA and K Ashritha of Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy (PGBA) tasted doubles success as they emerged champions in the under-15 boys and girls singles and doubles sections respectively of the recently concluded Chetan Anand Badminton Academy (CABA) Telangana State Open badminton tournament in Hyderabad.

Bhargava registered a comeback 18-21, 21-14, 21-7 victory over 13th seed Kruthik Ballari of VBA in the boy’s singles final.

Meanwhile Bhargava bagged his double by partnering alongside BBBA mate M Tarak Srinivas to clinch the boys doubles title. The top-seeded pair defeated B Nikhil Raj of PGBA and P Saket Reddy of BBBA 22-20, 20-15 in the summit clash.

Another hero of the day, K Ashritha got the better of L Sri Sai Sravya 16-21, 21-13, 21-18 to claim the singles title in an all PGBA under-15 girls final. Academy mates Ashritha and Sai Sravya then went on to beat A Shikhaa and K Shreshta Reddy 21-12, 21-10 in the doubles final to make it Ashritha’s second title of the day.
