The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the warm-up fixtures for the Women’s ODI World Cup.

India are scheduled to play two warm-up matches: the first against England on September 25 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru, followed by a clash with New Zealand on September 27 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, also in Bengaluru.

Defending champions Australia, the only team not featuring on the opening day of warm-ups, will begin their campaign against arch-rivals England on September 27 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1. Two additional warm-up matches are also scheduled for that day.

Pakistan and Bangladesh will play their warm-up matches in Colombo: The R Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club.

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, returning to the subcontinent after 12 years, will be held from September 30 to November 2. The tournament will take place in a hybrid format across five venues: Bengaluru, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Indore, and Colombo.

The top four teams from the round-robin stage will advance to the semifinals, where the first-placed team will face the fourth, and the

second will take on the third.

India will open their World Cup campaign on Tuesday, September 30, against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru.
