India pacer Mohammed Siraj has joined Warwickshire County Cricket Club for the final three matches of the County Championship season on Thursday. Siraj will arrive at Edgbaston ahead of the Bears' home fixture against Somerset on Monday 12 September.

During the Edgbaston Test against England at the start of this month, where he took 4/66 in the hosts’ first innings, Siraj said that the outswinger hadn’t been working for him after the

Indian Premier League, so he’d worked on honing his natural inswinger.

Siraj made his Test debut against Australia in the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy and impressed one and all in the 2021 Test series in England. In total, he has taken 403 wickets in 207 career matches with 194 of those in first-class cricket. He has the ability to swing the ball both ways and, as of now, Siraj has played 26 matches across formats and has taken 56 wickets.
