Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been named in Delhi's provisional squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a statement from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) revealed on Thursday, December 11. Kohli is set for a rare domestic appearance, as the DDCA announced on December 2 that the former India skipper has confirmed his availability for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy — marking his first outing in the tournament in 15 years.
Joining him will be Pant, who was part of the India squad for the ODI series against South Africa, but didn't get any gametime during the three
matches.
"The selectors have finalised the list of probables for the Delhi Senior Men's Team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy (Domestic Season 2025-26). The list of probables includes the players selected for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy squad. Additionally, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will be joining the team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy," read the statement from DDCA.
Delhi will kick off their Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign against Andhra Pradesh on December 24, and the match is now likely to attract a much bigger turnout than a typical domestic 50-over game.
