Mohammed Siraj revealed that skipper Virat Kohli confronted Ben Stokes only after the English all-rounder used cuss words to address India pacer after a fiery bouncer in the first session on Day 1. Siraj revealed that he told Virat Kohli about Stokes abusing him and the Indian captain decided to confront England all-rounder in the middle.
The incident happened after Joe Root's exit in the first session of Day 1. Siraj bowled a fiery bouncer to Ben Stokes and stared at the batsman. In response, Stokes uttered a few words but Siraj
refrained from responding. Virat Kohli came to the defense of the pacer and had his own altercation with the English all-rounder. It came to a point that umpire Nitin Menon had to intervene and separate the duo from having a go at each other.
"In Australia, or in India, wherever I bowl, I want to put 100% effort to bowl. Every ball, I tell myself, 'bowl properly.' Ben Stokes Mujhe gaali diya (abused me) so I told Virat Bhai about that. Virat Bhai handled it thereafter"... well well," Mohammed Siraj said after the end of play on Day 1.
