Tamil Nadu all-rounder Vijay Shankar replaces the suspended Hardik Pandya for India's ongoing ODI series in Australia and tour to New Zealand.
Shubman Gill received his maiden call-up to the national team to replace K.L.Rahul for the New Zealand tour beginning on January 23.
BCCI said in a statement that Vijay Shankar will join the team before the start of the 2nd ODI starting in Adelaide on Tuesday.
