Shardul raced to his maiden List A fifty off just 39 balls and entertained his teammates with six boundaries and six sixes during his 57-ball stay at the crease. Himachal Pradesh pacer Pankaj Jaswal dismissed Shardul Thakur with just two overs remaining in the innings.

Mumbai’s middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who earned his maiden India call-up last week, also played a brilliant 91-run knock. Aditya Tare went on to score 83 and his partnership with Shardul Thakur helped in Mumbai’s recovery.
