Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday posted photos of Team India players taking to the nets ahead of the second Test match against England, starting on Saturday.


In the photos posted by BCCI, India opener Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and youngster Shubman Gill could be seen batting in the nets. In another photo, skipper Virat Kohli could be seen practising his fielding.


In another social media post by the BCCI,



all-rounder Axar Patel was seen at the India nets as the hosts hit the nets for the first since losing the 1st Test on Monday.


Axar bowled at the nets to Virat Kohli and the left-arm spinner was seen getting into a good rhythm. In a video shared by the BCCI, Axar can be seen forcing Kohli to play of the front foot while also pushing him back regularly. Following his bowling stint, Axar also found time to bat in the nets, timing the ball well without any discomfort.
