Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan suffered an injury scare when he was struck on his left leg by a yorker from Jasprit Bumrah on Wednesday, February 11. Ishan winced in pain after taking the blow during India’s practice session on the eve of their T20 World Cup game against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

He required immediate attention from the team physio after

falling to the ground and clutching his leg in pain.

Much to the relief of the Indian camp, Ishan was able to get back on his feet and resume training. He continued batting for another five minutes before leaving the nets.

The blow came during the latter half of his session, and he appeared to be in some discomfort even after receiving treatment.
