Suresh Raina is set to remain unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction as Mr. IPL was not part of the list of players teams submitted for the final accelerated round on Day 2 of the bidding process in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Suresh Raina will go unsold in an IPL auction for the first time in the history of the tournament. The former Chennai Super Kings batter will miss an IPL season for only the 2nd time in the history of the tournament after he

missed IPL 2022 in the UAE due to personal reasons.

Notably, he went unsold when he came up for auction on Day 1 of the mega auction. Chennai Super Kings, which is fondly called ‘Chinna Thala’ did not bid for him. Raina had his base price at Rs 2 crore.

Raina retired from international cricket in 2022. He has played very few domestic games ever since and the lack of match practice would have gone against his favour at the mega auction.
