Sunrisers Hyderabad thrashes Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad has crushed Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets in their opening IPL match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad last night. 

Chasing a target of 126 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 127 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 15.5 overs. Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan smashed an unbeaten 77 while Kane Williamson 36 not out. Wriddhiman Saha was out for 5



runs.

Earlier, put in to bat, Rajasthan Royals made 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sanju Samson was the top-scorer for Rajasthan with 42-ball 49-run innings. 

In today's fixture, Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at M.A Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.
