Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant on Wednesday gave his fans a glimpse of his road to recovery on his social media handle. Pant shared a video in which he could be seen walking in a swimming pool as a part of his recovery process and captioned it, "Grateful for small things, big things, And everything in between."

Pant is currently recovering from serious injuries sustained in a near-fatal car accident at the end of last year. The star wicketkeeper-batsman has frequently shared health updates on Instagram and other social media platforms to keep his fans informed of his progress.

Pant had also shared a photo of himself playing chess on his Instagram story a few days ago. On a table on a terrace, there was a chess board with some pieces in front of him, as well as an empty chair. He appeared to be playing chess with someone, but it is unclear who the wicketkeeper-batter

was playing with. He even accompanied the photo with the cryptic caption, "Can anyone guess who's playing?"

Earlier, Pant had given an update on his surgery pertaining to a ligament tear. "I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes," Pant wrote on Twitter. "I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the @BCCI, @JayShah & government authorities for their incredible support."

Pant further added, "From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field."

It is expected that he will take a long time to recover and will miss important events such as the IPL 2023 and, possibly, the ODI World Cup later this year.
