Andra Pradhesh's left-arm pacer Prithvi Raj Yarra has been named as the replacement of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has been ruled out of the entired IPL 2020 season because of a hip injury he suffered in his side's match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The Hyderabad-based franchise took to Twitter on Tuesday and announced Prithvi Raj Yarra as the replacement for Bhuvneshwar.

Prithvi Raj Yarra is a 22-year-old left-arm pacer who has represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2019. During the season Prithvi Raj Yarra played 2 matches and took a single wicket.

Yarra represents Andhra Pradesh in domestic cricket. He has played 11 first-class matches for the state scalping 39 wickets. From his 9 List A matches the pacer has 15



wickets.

Prithvi Raj Yarra has experience of only 3 T20 matches, 2 with KKR and one in 2019 when he made his debut against Jharkhand.

Earlier, Bhuvneshwar Kumar got ruled out of the entire IPL 2020 season because of the hip injury he faced during his side's game against Chennai Super Kings at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 2.

SRH had missed his service in their last game against Mumbai Indians and had come into the field with an inexperinced pace line-up consisting of Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan and Siddarth Kaul.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who went wicket-less in his first two matches, got 2 wickets against Delhi Capitals. In his last match against CSK he took a wicket but couldn't complete his quota of 4 overs.

SRH are currently placed 7th on the 8-team IPL 2020 points table.
