Pakistan eased away to an eight wicket win against Zimbabwe in the 3rd and final T20I in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, and with it swept the series 3-0.

The hosts were led by a stunning performance by legspinner Usman Qadir, whose spell of 4-13 destroyed the Zimbabwe batting away. The visitors were eventually restricted to 129/9 in their 20 overs, the lowest score in the series so far, and Pakistan chased the target with ease in the 16th over.

Once again, Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat. It was the fifth straight time in the series that they batted first. But they never seemed to get a partnership going and lost wickets at regular intervals.

While the opening partnership is what has been the problem for the visitors in this tour, this time around the 26-run stand between Brendan Taylor and Chamu Chibhabha ended up being

the best one.

But after that, it was the Usman Qadir show. The legspinner showed his talent and coaxed the batsmen into going after him and got wickets at regular intervals.

His first wicket was of Chibhabha in the 9th over, where he tricked the batsman into giving a top edge. He kept the run-scoring on a leash, and as the pressure began to build, he forced low-percentage slogs from the Zimbabwe batsmen.

With a target of 130 to chase, Pakistan started briskly and Zimbabwe missed an opportunity in the 4th over when Fakhar Zaman edged a Blessing Muzarabani delivery to Chibhabha in the slips, but the fielder dropped a sitter.

Debutant Abdullah Shafique opened the batting for Pakistan and top scored with a 33-ball 41 and was ably supported by Khushdil Shah and the hosts won the game with 29 balls to spare.
