India on Monday, September 12 named 16-man squads for the upcoming home series against Australia and South Africa in September-October. The announcement came minutes after India announced a 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia, starting October 22.

Pacers Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar, who were named as part of 4 standby players for the T20 World Cup, are part of the T20I series against South Africa and Australia.

India will play 3 T20Is against Australia at home from September 20 while they will begin their T20I series against South Africa from September 28.

"Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa," the BCCI said in a



statement.

Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohd. Shami, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah.

India squad for South Africa T20Is: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohd. Shami, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah.

India will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. They will play two warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia on October 17 and 19.
