The first one-day international of the three-match series between India and West Indies was called off due to rain at Providence Stadium, Guyana last night. The game had a delayed start due to rain and was curtailed to 34-overs per side.

With Windies 54 for 1 in 13 overs, the rain came down again and the match had to stop.

Players did not take the field afterwards, and the match had to be called off.

Earlier, India had won the toss and they had asked West Indies to bat first.

Second ODI of the three-match series will be played on Sunday in Port of Spain on Sunday.
