Kavya Maran addresses SRH's dressing room after loss in final vs KKR

The SRH team's owner gave a much-needed pep talk to the team to lift their spirits after the loss against KKR in the IPL 2024 final. It was a Knightmare for the SunRisers team as they suffered a humiliating defeat by 8 wickets at the M Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on May 26, Sunday. The official social media handle of the franchise posted a heart-warming video featuring Kavya who addressed the dressing room of the team.

Kavya in her address mentioned that she was really proud of the way the team defied all the norms to shatter all the batting records this season. In her speech, she also expressed gratitude to the Pat Cummins-led side for reaching the final after finishing at the bottom of the table in IPL 2023.

"You all have



made us so proud. I had to come here and tell you that. I mean you have redefined the way we play T20 cricket and everyone is talking about us. The off-day had to happen today, but a really great job, all of you with the bat and ball. Thank you so much," Kavya said.

"And I think even though we finished last place last year, I think all the fans came out in huge numbers because of the potential you guys had. Everyone's talking about us and even though KKR won, I am sure everyone's still going to be talking about the style of cricket we have played. Thank you guys, take care and don't look like this. We played the final, it wasn't just any other game. I mean all the other teams have been watching us tonight. Thank you guys, I will see you soon," Kavya added.
