IPL: Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 21 runs in Mumbai

Mumbai: In IPL Cricket, Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 21 runs at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai last night. This is Delhi Capitals 5th win in IPL 2022 while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fell to their 5th loss of the season, both teams have played 10 games and now have 10 points each.

Delhi Capitals have now moved to 5th on the points table, as they have better Net Run Rate in comparison to SRH. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to field first.  

Batting first, Delhi Capitals opener David Warner played a gritty knock of unbeaten 92 runs and was well accompanied by Rovman Powell who made unbeaten 67 runs. The duo stitched an unbeaten



122-run stand to power Delhi Capitals to a massive total of 207 for 3 in the stipulated 20 overs. David Warner was declared Player of the Match.

In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 186 for 8 in the stipulated 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram were the only stand-out batters among SRH as they played innings of 62 and 42 respectively.

For Delhi Capitals, Khaleel Ahmed bagged three wickets while Shradul Thakur took two wickets. Anrich Nortje, Mitchell Marsh, and Kuldeep Yadav scalped one wicket each.
