IPL 2024: Gujarat Titans replace Mohammed Shami with Sandeep Warrier

The Gujarat Titans have announced the replacement for their star pacer Mohammed Shami, who will not take part in the Indian Premier League 2024 season. GT have named Sandeep Warrier as a replacement for Shami. The star pacer is currently in rehabilitation after a successful ankle surgery. Shami had been injured since the ODI World Cup 2023 and has not played since. In fact



Shami had to take injections throughout the ODI World Cup period to subside pain in his Achilles Heel.

Warrier will join GT for his base price of Rs 50 lac, an IPL press release said.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians added rising star from the U19 World Cup - Kwena Maphaka to the squad as a replacement for Dilshan Madushanka.
