MS Dhoni has given a glimpse of his very best time again with the bat in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is the batter with most sixes in the last over in an innings of IPL matches. On Wednesday, May 10, the 41-year-old batter again showed that he hasn’t run out of gas by any stretch of the imagination.

Unlike a few other matches when he came out to bat in the last over, Dhoni walked out against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at No.8 with 22 balls left in the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) innings. He didn’t disappoint the packed house at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Dhoni dealt in singles for his first few balls before he used the long handle to hit Khaleel Ahmed for a massive six over the deep mid-wicket region. The shot

rattled Khaleel a wee bit as he bowled a wide in the very next ball.

Dhoni threw his bat at the next ball and collected a four through the third man region. In the last ball of the same over, the veteran smashed Khaleel for a flat six down the ground. Dhoni’s sixes got his family members excited. Sakshi, Dhoni’s wife, and Ziva, Dhoni’s daughter, were seen high fiving each other.

But in the last over, Dhoni got out to Mitchell Marsh, who picked up his third wicket. Dhoni tried to keep the long on boundary, but was unsuccessful in doing so. David Warner, who is safe as houses as a fielder, took a simple catch. Dhoni scored 20 runs off nine balls with one four and two sixes as the Super Kings finished with 167 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
