Australia's star batsman Steve Smith on Saturday arrived in Mumbai to join his new IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals and will undergo a mandatory seven-day hard quarantine. Smith, who was released by Rajasthan Royals, was roped in by Delhi Capitals for Rs 2.2 crore at the IPL auctions in

February.

"2 monumental icons in one frame. Welcome to the DC family, @steve_smith49 #YehHaiNayiDilli @tajmahalmumbai," Delhi Capitals tweeted a picture of Smith with the Gateway of India in the frame.

Steve Smith will play under the captaincy of young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant this year.
