In women's cricket, India will face England in the first T20 of the three-match series in Guwahati, Assam today. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m. Smriti Mandhana will captain the side in the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur who has not yet recovered from an ankle injury. The Indian squad will also include ODI captain Mithali Raj who is likely to retire from the shortest format before the T20 World Cup in Australia next

year.

The Women's T20 World Cup is slated to be played next year and both the teams would look to work on the combination during the series.

Indian eves suffered a 0-3 white-wash in New Zealand. The loss came after a historic 2-1 win in the ODIs in Mumbai. Indian eves will be hoping to reverse that trend with the T20s against England.
