Opting to bat first India lost Rohit Sharma early but Ajinkya Rahane and skipper Virat Kohli stitched together a century-run stand that laid

the foundation for the middle-order to set a big score after the initial hiccup. Rahane (55) was run out trying to steal an extra run and Kohli fell eight runs short of his 31st ODI century. India lost wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs that got Australia right back in the match.
