In a thrilling conclusion to the three-match Women’s One Day International Cricket series, India defeated England by 13 runs in the final game at Chester-le-Street last night, sealing the series 2-1.

Batting first after winning the toss, the Indian team posted an imposing total of 318 for 5 in their allotted 50 overs. In response, England fought hard but ultimately fell short, finishing 13 runs behind India’s total. England women scored 305 in 49.5 overs.

India’s Captain Harmanpreet hit a brilliant 102 runs off only 84 balls. Kranti Goud finishes with six wickets. Harmanpreet has been declared the player of the match and also the player of the series for her outstanding performance.

Men’s cricket, India and England head into the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester, starting today. Currently, India is trailing 1-2 in the five-match Test series. The match will start at 3:30 PM IST.

In another match, Bangladesh secured their maiden T20I series with a dramatic win over Pakistan, edging out the visitors by eight runs in a tense second match at a packed Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka yesterday. The hosts, buoyed by a composed bowling display and a late batting charge, now hold an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 133 runs all out in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan were all out scoring only 125 runs in 19.2 overs.
