Wellington: Hosts New Zealand were 142 for 2  against India a short while ago on the second day of the opening Test at Basin Reserve today.

Earlier, India were all out for a below-par 165 in their first innings before lunch. Resuming at an



overnight score of 122 for 5, the Men in Blue lost the remaining five wickets adding just 43 runs.

For New Zealand, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson claimed four wickets each, while Trent Boult snapped one.
