An unexpected guest caused a slight delay in proceedings during the 2nd T20I between India and South Africa at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, October 2. A snake was spotted on the field during India's batting innings, leading to a break in play.

On one of the rarest occasions in international cricket played in India, a snake caused a delay in the proceedings. Both sets of players were cautious as they made sure

they were away from the snake that was slithering across the field in Guwahati.

As the television cameras spotted the snake, security officials from the Barasapara Stadium quickly reached the spot to evacuate the snake. Play resumed after a brief 10-minute delay at the start of the 8th over.

The television commentators said that another snake was spotted before the start of play in the 2nd T20I in Guwahati on Sunday.
