Jaipur's historic Nahargarh Fort is once again in the spotlight. The famous Jaipur Wax Museum, located inside the fort, is set to feature a wax statue of Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur. The statue will be dedicated to India's historic Women's World Cup victory. The museum administration has announced that the grand unveiling will take place on March 8, 2026 – International Women's Day.

Museum founder Anup Srivastava said Harmanpreet's statue will not only represent a sporting achievement, but also serve as a symbol of courage, hard work, and confidence for Indian women.

"The purpose of our museum is not just to showcase famous personalities, but to honour those who have emerged as inspirations in society. Harmanpreet has proved that women are in no way behind men on any platform," he said.

With Harmanpreet's addition, the Jaipur Wax Museum will now showcase two World Cup-winning captains – MS Dhoni from men's cricket and Harmanpreet Kaur from women's cricket. Their statues will join the gallery alongside icons like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, who already attract large numbers of visitors.

This initiative is not just a delight for cricket

lovers, but also a powerful tribute to womanhood. The Jaipur Wax Museum has previously honoured several inspiring women, including Kalpana Chawla, Saina Nehwal, Mother Teresa, Rajmata Gayatri Devi, and Hadi Rani. Harmanpreet's statue will add a new chapter to the museum's celebration of women empowerment in modern India.

According to museum officials, work on the statue has already begun. It is being crafted using Harmanpreet's appearance from the 2025 World Cup. Cutting-edge technology will be used to capture her confident expressions and energy with lifelike precision.

Currently, the museum displays around 45 wax figures, featuring members of Rajasthan's royal family, national heroes, historical icons, and modern-day inspirations. Located in the famous Sheesh Mahal of Nahargarh Fort, the museum is known for its stunning interiors decorated with nearly 2.5 million glass pieces.

Harmanpreet Kaur's statue will not only mark a new moment in cricket history, but also a proud milestone for Jaipur's tourism and art landscape. The sculpture will remind future generations that true victory lies not only on the field, but also in confidence, passion, and pride for the nation - the essence of Harmanpreet's legacy.
