India pacer Mohammed Siraj has confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will play the upcoming Manchester Test against England. Bumrah's participation in the fourth match of the series was a topic of big discussion as the team management had made the call that the star pacer will only play three Tests.

Bumrah played the first and third Tests at Headingley and Lord's and missed the win at Edgbaston. Many fans and pundits, including Anil Kumble, have suggested that Bumrah should be playing in the crucial match in Manchester and Siraj has confirmed the pacer will be part of the action.

Siraj went on to say that the plan is to bowl in good areas as England batted with a lot of patience at Lord's.

"Jassi (Bumrah) bhai will play only, that’s what we know for now. But the combination is changing day by day. So our only plan is that as much as possible, considering England’s batting attack, our only plan is to bowl

in good areas and hit there. Because they batted with a lot of patience. Because in the last match, if you see, they batted with a lot of patience. So we also felt good that yes, now the real fun of Test cricket is coming. So this is our only plan—bowl in good areas. Whatever they do, that’s theirs. But our only plan is to bowl in good areas." said Siraj.

Bumrah has 12 scalps in the two matches he has played so far with two five-wicket hauls to his name.

Speaking about the team combination for the match, Siraj remained coy and said whatever lineup would be picked would be in the best interest of the team.

"I’ve just come back from practice, so I don’t really know what discussions are going on or not going on. I don’t have that much knowledge right now about which combination we will go with or not. My only concern is that whatever combination is best for the team is what I want," said Siraj.
