The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the release of 'Invitation to Tender for Title Sponsor Rights' for the Indian Premier League Seasons 2024-2028. The BCCI announced the news via an official press release on Tuesday, 12 December. Tata Group held the title sponsorship till the end of the 2024 season and the BCCI have now put out fresh tenders for the same.

The Tata Group took over from Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo back in 2022 due to political tensions at the time. Vivo's sponsorship right had been paused back in 2020 when India faced cross-border tensions with China. Dream XI had taken over from Vivo for the two-year period and the Tata Group took over from there.

"The Governing Council of

the Indian Premier League (IPL) invites bids from reputed entities for acquiring the Title Sponsor Rights for the Indian Premier League Seasons 2024-2028," the BCCI said in its press release.

"The detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, process for submissions of bids, rights and obligations, etc. are contained in the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) document which will be made available on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 (Indian Rupees Five Lakh Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The procedure to procure the ITT documents is enlisted in Annexure A to this notice. The ITT will be available for purchase till January 8, 2024," it further added.
