Abhishek Sharma, Smriti Mandhana win ICC Player Of The Month awards for September

Abhishek Sharma and Smriti Mandhana were named the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for September 2025, following standout performances in the Asia Cup T20I and a home ODI series against Australia respectively. Both excelled for India and earned the awards through global fan voting and a panel of former cricketers and media representatives.

Abhishek Sharma’s Asia Cup T20I campaign saw him amass 314 runs in seven matches, averaging 44.85 with a strike rate of 200. His consistency led to being named Player of the Tournament and reaching 931 points in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, the highest ever, at the end of



the Super Fours. Sharma outperformed Kuldeep Yadav and Brian Bennett for the monthly honour.
