New Zealand have set a target of 244 runs for India in the 3rd ODI of the five match series at Bay Oval ground in Mount Maunganui. Chasing the target, India were 44/1  in 10 overs.

Earlier, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat. New Zealand made 243 in 49 overs. For the hosts, Ross Taylor was  the highest run contributor with 93 while Tom Latham scored 51. Mohammed Shami bagged 3 wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets each. 

For Indian side, Hardik Pandya came in the playing XI while Dinesh Karthik replaced Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who missed out due to injured hamstring. India are currently leading the five match series 2-NIL. The fourth ODI will be played on Thursday at Hamilton.
